2023 Fall Rec

After a long, rainy season of soccer, our Fall Rec League comes to a conclusion with Championship Week this Saturday! This week is always fun for our players, and we hope they feel proud of all they've accomplished with their teams over the past couple of months.

Most teams will have 2 games this week, so please check the schedule to make sure when you know both of your team's games will be. Teams who win their first game will have a second game after about an hour break, while teams who are defeated in their first games will play a consolation game right after. 

Thank you to all our parents, coaches, referees, and players for making this a successful season. We will see you out on the fields Saturday!

Hard to believe, but this is the last week of our "Regular Season" for our 2023 Fall Rec Season. Next week is Championship Week, and we will have the schedule posted for that once we have all the results of this week's games.

Rain is in the forecast again for Saturday, but for now, it is looking like the morning should be clear and the rain should happen later in the afternoon/evening. We will make every effort to get these games in on Saturday, but stay tuned in case the forecast changes!

Unfortunately, its another weekend of rain in the forecast, so to avoid losing another Saturday of rec soccer, we are moving all games this week to Sunday this weekend. Fields, times, opponents, and training with RSA all remains the same, but we are moving everything off Saturday to hopefully avoid the worst of the rain.

Due to the persistent rain over the past couple of weeks, the rain expected overnight, and the current field conditions, tomorrow's Rec games are cancelled.

However, Picture Day is a go! Our friends at Teamworks Seekonk (formerly Won Sports) have offered us the use of their banquet area upstairs. Please stick to the original picture schedule that you were provided earlier this week, and please have your teams there about 15 minutes ahead of your scheduled time to start taking individual pictures and to get organized for the team photo.

The weather for Saturday is not looking promising, but we are hoping to carry on with Week 2 of our rec season! If we ended up getting rained out, we will send out a notification as soon as possible. In the meantime, the Week 2 Schedule is below along with our field map. We hope to see you down at the field!

Home Teams are listed on the left and are wearing BLUE. 

Away Teams are on the right and wearing WHITE.

The next Seekonk Youth Soccer board meeting is this Monday, September 11th @ 7pm in the Aitken Teacher's Lounge and is open to all. Join us for our first meeting of the league season as we discuss our kickoff of the Fall Rec Season, the progress our Black Goose program has made in the Rhode Island Superliga, and ways we can continue to grow our program for the kids of our town.

Our program is 100% volunteer run, and we are always looking for help to keep soccer thriving in Seekonk. No soccer knowledge or experience is necessary, and there is no commitment needed to attend. We hope to see you there!
