The next monthly Seekonk Youth Soccer board meeting takes place on Tuesday, April 2nd @ 7pm down at Teamworks on Rt. 6 in South Seekonk.

These meetings are open to anyone interested in attending and are a great way to stay in touch with the things that we are working on for our program and also for those who would be willing to volunteer their time to help us out. We are an entirely volunteer-run program consisting of parents of players in our program, and we are always looking for more help!

Seekonk Youth Soccer is happy to announce that the Black Goose Junior Academy returns to Teamworks on Rt. 6 on February 2nd!

The Black Goose Junior Academy offers a six (6) week clinic focused on fundamental and technical skills for those players learning and developing their game. Once again, we have partnered with Resendes Soccer Academy to develop drills and games focused on having fun while getting in those all-important ball touches.

The program is recommended for players of all skill levels (both Rec and Black Goose players) born between 2013 and 2018. 

Program Details

• Dates - 2/2, 2/9, 2/16, 3/1, 3/8, 3/16
  • Note there is no session on 2/23
• Time - 4pm - 5pm
• Location - Teamworks Seekonk (1314 Fall River Ave, Seekonk, MA 02771) - Field 2 (Futsal Court)
• Cost - $75 and includes a Junior Academy t-shirt that will be delivered at the 1st practice

After the success of our 1st SAQ Ball Mastery Clinic this fall, we will be partnering up with Resendes Soccer Academy again to offer a 2nd and 3rd SAQ Session this winter! Both sessions will run on Fridays from 5p-6p down at Teamworks on Rt. 6, with Session 2 beginning on January 12th and running through February 16th, while Session 3 will pick up on March 1st and run to March 29th. 

Our 1st session filled up very quickly and space is limited, so if your kids are interested, please make sure to sign-up as soon as possible. We are offering a discount for any players who sign-up for both sessions, but players are welcome to register for whichever session(s) they like. What is SAQ?

• Speed-Agility-Quckness. SAQ skills receive little attention during the season but can have
  an impact on those players putting in work on it throughout the off season. SAQ exercises emphasize
  foot speed, acceleration and deceleration, quickness and change of direction. SAQ training can also help
  with injury prevention as well.
• Ball Mastery Competitive programs at all levels put the responsibility of footwork on the player outside of
  team training. This clinic will focus on teaching players how to improve speed, touch, comfort, and
  confidence on the ball. Mastery of these technical skills are necessary for any player to develop their
  game to the next level!

Where will these sessions take place?

• All sessions take place down at Teamworks - Field 1 on Rt. 6 in Seekonk
• Sessions run Fridays from 5pm to 6pm

Who can attend?

• This clinic is recommended for those new & current travel soccer players or those playing next level
  premier and looking to get an edge!
• The clinic is open to players in age groups 2009 through 2015
